Helen Welch and Friends

Doors - 6:30PM, Show - 7 PM *Helen Welch* is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, entertainer, producer, and band leader. With a unique talent for arranging songs and making them her own, combined with an ability to intimately connect with audiences, she quickly built a large and devoted following around the globe. A native of England, Helen began her career at age 3 on television’s Romper Room. She went on to headline with world-class organizations including the BBC Big Band, Glenn Miller Europe, Opus One, and others at the UK’s most prestigious venues: The Ritz, The Savoy, Blenheim Palace, Claridge’s, and many theatres in London’s West End. She also held starring roles in a variety of popular musicals and guest-starred in the Broadway musical ‘Smokey Joe’s Cafe’ After a successful run in the UK, Helen relocated to the United States. She has since performed at many of the country’s most prestigious venues and headlined with the Blossom Festival Orchestra, Grant Park Symphony Orchestra in Chicago, Florida Symphony, Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and more. Helen has produced and starred in numerous high-quality themed shows that have appeared at venues such as Cleveland’s Playhouse Square — the largest theatre district outside Broadway — Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra, the Chautauqua Institution, and many other theatres across the United States. In 2006, Helen produced her big band album ‘One Dream’ with the nationally renowned Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. In 2016, her album ‘Spellbound’ was considered for a Grammy nomination. More recently, her soundtrack album ‘Superstar: The Carpenters Reimagined’ launched to a sold-out theatre at Playhouse Square, where she also performed her show ‘Carpenters: The Songs. The Stories’. This hugely popular production has since returned twice to sold-out auditoriums and remains the only Carpenters show on the market with Richard Carpenter’s blessing. In 2024, Severance Hall — renowned as one of the most beautiful concert halls in the United States and home to The Cleveland Orchestra — invited Helen to bring her Carpenters show to its stage. Notably, this marked the first time The Cleveland Orchestra had presented a production that did not feature the orchestra itself. The show was a resounding success, and Helen was invited to return in fall 2025 to another sold-out auditorium. Helen produces shows for small ensemble, big band, and symphony pops, and continues to tour them nationally. She has twice been invited to sing the national anthem for NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’, and her teaching talents have been mentioned on American Idol. In her spare time, Helen is a huge animal lover and volunteers for an animal rescue and rehabilitation center near her home.PT2H2026-09-24Helen Welch and Friends"Helen Welch and Friends"
